The Monthly Mooring | August 2025

As we look ahead to the green season , the Chobe River is on the brink of its annual transformation. Soon, the landscape will be awash with vivid greens, blossoming flora, and the renewed energy that comes with the summer rains.

This is the perfect time to inspire your clients – from photographers  and birding  enthusiasts to travellers seeking lush scenery and unique wildlife encounters. Let’s make the most of this spectacular season together.

Welcome to the Kavango-Zambezi
A SHARED VISION

The Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) is one of the largest conservation landscapes on Earth, spanning Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Iconic landmarks such as the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls fall within its boundaries.

KAZA is a celebration of cross-border collaboration, community upliftment, and sustainable tourism – values we proudly share at the Zambezi Queen Collection. Our location on the Chobe River places us at the heart of this vital conservation landscape, with operations that support both wildlife preservation and community development.

Wifi & Connectivity On Board

On board the houseboats, there is limited mobile and roaming connection.

Wifi is available intermittently on the Zambezi Queen and Chobe Princess houseboats, whilst at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge, Wifi can be accessed in the lounge, bar and dining room areas.

We see this as the perfect opportunity for your guests to unplug and be in the moment.

Border Entry Reminder

Please note that all Zambezi Queen Collection properties are based in Namibia, with access via the Botswana Kasane Immigration Office. Guests will be required to enter both countries to access our properties.

Guests will need to clear immigration formalities when entering or departing Namibia, and there may be visa requirements for certain nationalities. We kindly ask that you familiarise yourself with the latest visa information to ensure smooth travel arrangements for your clients.
