The annual maintenance and intermediate survey have been completed.
The weather was fine and warm for the week that we were in Nelson, 24th – 30th May. While on the slip there Strannik’s hull was cleaned before a new coat of antifouling paint was applied. The RINA (Italian Classification Society) surveyor from Australia attended the vessel for two days and checked our engineering, deck and safety systems before issuing new certificates of compliance. We are now back in Lyttelton preparing for our tours Fiordland and Stewart Island expeditions.
Milford Sound to Preservation Inlet. We have one twinshare cabin and one male berth* available on this departure. To see and experience all of Fiordland’s fiords is a trip of a lifetime. There are 14 fiords, but one of them, Sutherland Sound, is only accessible by Zodiac, the remaining 13 create one of the greatest cruising grounds in the world. It is wrong to think that just because they are all fiords they are all the same; every one of them is unique and different with their own story. We invite you to experience and enjoy these 13 fiords.
*Because the berth is a top bunk in a twin-share cabin (with private facilities) and it is the last berth available in Fiordland for our 2022 season we are offering it at a special price of NZ$8,413.00 (sorry, we can only accommodate a male)
Strong interest in our advertised December 2022 Stewart Island expeditions has resulted in them all being fully subscribed. We are not surprised, it is an amazing destination with so much on offer, so much to see, experience and enjoy. Because we would like as many people as possible to discover what this island has to offer we have added two more departures in February 2023. One has already been snapped up by a group and the other will fill very quickly. Book today. Price $5,046.00pp
In April 2023 we will be Pacific bound; with maritime borders slowly opening we are heading north. We have loved our enforced stay in NZ, it has allowed us a rare opportunity to revisit and share some of the places that we know intimately and enjoy immensely. Thank you to everybody that travelled with us. Watch this space, there may be opportunities to join some unique expeditions in the Pacific; if there are we will post them on our web site and send out a newsletter.
