As a locally owned company, we pride ourselves on showcasing “True Alaska.” If you’ve been following us for any time, you’ve probably seen that tagline in our marketing. But, what does it mean? To us, it simply means that in addition to some of the more popular destinations in the famed Inside Passage (think Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan), we also visit some of the lesser-known places. Among these are many remote bays and fjords, as well as Alaska Native villages such as Metlakatla, Kake, and Kasaan. Each of these places has its own unique history and inspiring cultural experiences to share. Today we’re highlighting Kasaan, which is a port call on our Alaska’s Inside Passage Sojourn and Ice of the Inside Passage itineraries. We’re fortunate and honored to enjoy an exclusive partnership to visit this Haida village on beautiful Prince of Wales Island. Click the video to see a few sights and learn more! |
