Changes in Departures
Antarctica 2025/2026
– Starting June 2025, the Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands will implement a new electronic permit system (EPS), requiring all visitors to apply for a £200 permit at least 14 days before arrival. Albatros Expeditions will handle the application process and cover the full cost of the permit for all travelers visiting South Georgia. We are currently finalizing the internal procedures for managing this and will share further details as soon as they become available.
