Western Australia’s coastline is vast.
From the land, it is almost impossible to comprehend. But over ten nights, travelling from Fremantle to Dampier, the West Coast Explorer reveals just how much lies beyond the horizon.
The journey begins among the Abrolhos Islands, where the story of the Batavia still echoes through the landscape. Here, guests catch western rock lobster before enjoying it fresh on the beach that same day.
Further north, the coastline grows wilder. At Dirk Hartog Island and Steep Point, adventure boats reach remote fishing, snorkelling and diving locations around the westernmost edge of mainland Australia.
From the helicopter, Shark Bay takes on an entirely different scale. Useless Loop and Big Lagoon unfold below in sweeping patterns of turquoise water, white sand and untouched coastline.
Then comes Ningaloo Reef, with manta rays, spectacular coral and visiting marine scientists who bring a deeper understanding of this remarkable ecosystem.
The journey finishes among the Montebello Islands. After days of fishing, diving and snorkelling in crystal-clear water, guests gather on a secluded beach to watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean.
It is ten nights that reveal a side of Western Australia few people ever experience, and one of the most varied journeys in the our calendar.

For more than 20 years, we returned to remote communities throughout these regions. We are welcomed through traditional sing-sings, dancing and ceremonies that offer a rare opportunity to experience cultures deeply connected to place.
Over the years, we helped transport water tanks, medical equipment, school supplies and other essential resources requested by the communities we visit.
