Aranoa: A new adventure is about to begin in the South Seas

From Expedition Cruise Network.

In 2027, the ARANOA will sail the waters of the South Pacific to embark on its main mission: supplying the Austral Islands and showcasing its magnificent, still unknown islands.Like the ARANUI V, which will continue to serve the Marquesas Islands, the ARANOA will also be a mixed passenger-freighter vessel, equipped with the latest technologies to minimize its environmental impact. This unique model of inclusive tourism, which has contributed to the company’s success for 40 years, is particularly well-suited to the insular territory of French Polynesia. This project will help develop the Austral archipelago by offering new economic opportunities, promoting inter-island exchanges, and highlighting its vibrant landscapes and rich culture!
Discovering Authentic Beauty
Located in the south of French Polynesia, the Austral Islands are a true haven of peace, still untouched by mass tourism. Comprising five main islands—Rimatara, Rurutu, Tubuai, Raivavae, and Rapa—this archipelago captivates with its wild landscapes, featuring lush green mountains, turquoise lagoons, and white sandy beaches. A land of traditions, the Australs are renowned for their exquisite craftsmanship, particularly weaving, as well as for their legends and authentic way of life. Here, time seems to slow down, offering visitors a unique immersion into an intimate and unspoiled Polynesia.
A full board cruise with excursions included
The Aranoa will offer a 13-days cruise including all your meals and scheduled excursions on the islands on a new, modern and comfortable cargo-ship. The vessel will be a real home for the passengers as they discover the magic of the Austral islands. Our friendly Polynesian staff will welcome them as family and our expert lecturers and Polynesian guides will share the local culture while exploring one of the wildest islands on earth. Bookings will start in the second semester of 2025.
A comfortable and completely new cargo-ship

A Commitment to Sustainable Transport
