| Starting from 31st July, after the off-season, Heritage Line applies updated cruise itineraries/programs to our Lower Mekong cruise destination. The main changes are on the Vietnam side (Mekong Delta), where we have included a new port of call, allowing for a different experience and eventually making the overall Mekong experience more diverse when sailing this destination.Please find below some insights, with the button link directing you to our website, where you can download the PDF programs for each cruise itinerary. |
| New in The Mekong Delta |
| We have replaced the excursion to Binh Thanh Island with a visit to the town of Sa Dec, with its authentic, bustling local market. This market is one of the most compelling inland markets in the Delta and excites visitors and locals alike. The new Sa Dec experience is included in all 7-night cruises (Saigon – Siem Reap vv) and the short Saigon – Phnom Penh program (3 nights).To better balance the cruise program, we removed one port in the Delta, “Evergreen Island,” which was included only in upstream itineraries in the past. This port has been removed and not replaced due to logistical and nautical schedules. Still, three excursions for both up- and downstream cruises are included in the Mekong Delta region. |

| Due to construction (hydropower plant) taking place on the upper Mekong River between Luang Prabang and Pakbeng. Heritage Line has amended stops and mooring location between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai (vice versa). All itineraries (3-,7-,9-Night)have been updated. This change does not affect the overall onshore sightseeing experience. Still, the new and different village of equal natural beauty and characteristic showcasing the local life along the upper Mekong in all factettes.Guests get to know Khmu ethnic communities, with their traditional craft of blacksmithing, or the Lao Loum to witness their long-standing tradition of silk weaving, a craft that continues to be practiced by local women today.Please download the latest programs, update your guests of existing booking and apply for new bookings alike |
