It’s all in a day’s work! Calling on a wide range of skills and experience our seagoing team are absolutely committed to providing guests with the very best in personal service and attention to detail. First mate Mick Jones hails from the east coast of Australia with a background that includes maritime studies and countless hours at sea. Mick is about to commence his 6th season on-board the TRUE NORTH and he is still loving every minute! Mick’s hobbies include just about everything to do with the ocean and being outdoors – camping, surfing, fishing, diving and just exploring where he hasn’t been before! He says “there’s no better feeling than finding a brand-new stretch of beach or a reef that few have seen before.” And when asked about his favourite TRUE NORTH destination he is quick to add “The Kimberley would have to be at the top of my list and the Kimberley Ultimate is my favourite itinerary because you have more time to explore! A close second would be the Sepik Soiree because of the cultural experiences and the extraordinary scenery.”
