Several weeks ago, One Ocean Expeditions became the latest company to be included in the Canadian Signature Experience programme. This prestigious accolade was awarded to One Ocean Expeditions by Destination Canada – in recognition of the unique cultural, historic, culinary and wildlife experiences enjoyed on our 10-night‘Canada’s East Coast – Fins and Fiddles’ voyage.
Accompanying this news, was a flood of publicity and promotion and just a few short weeks after the announcement, the 2017 voyage is close to full capacity. A remarkable effort.
What does this mean for you? For starters, interest in the beautiful east coast region of Canada is at an all-time high. With the support of Canadian national and regional tourism bodies, Air Canada and other stakeholders, the east coast Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland (plus Quebec and Prince Edward Island) are the latest ‘hot-spots’ for savvy travellers.
To satisfy demand, we will introduce a second departure of this popular voyage in July 2017. This new departure will operate between 21-31 July, 2017. The itinerary is identical to the 05-15 July edition.
This means we have made some changes to our Arctic 2017 schedule of sailings. We are removing one voyage from the season in Spitsbergen (07-18 July), in order to bring the One Ocean Navigator (Akademik Ioffe) around in to Canadian waters earlier than planned. We are also removing the Baffin Island and West Greenland voyage (02-12 August) from the sailing schedule, in order to operate the new ‘East Coast – Fins and Fiddles’ departure.
This modification to our sailing schedule for Arctic 2017 also allows us to introduce a stunning new itinerary – ‘Epic East Coast and Labrador’ – a unique 21-day journey, providing the most in-depth exploration of eastern Canada ever offered.
This voyage combines two trips – to create one ‘super-itinerary’ connecting the Maritimes, with the more wild and remote coast of Labrador. The voyage is a true ‘small-ship classic’ – journeying all the way from Nova Scotia into the Arctic (Nunavut Province).
We have introduced razor-sharp pricing on this departure. (Prices for a 21-day voyage, start at just US$5,195 per person). If your clients have the time, this is the voyage.
